Kottayam

By 1992, due to increase number of visa applicants coming to Madras, it became very difficult for Mr.Joseph Chacko to handle alone. As most of the American visa cases were coming from the Central Travancore areas, it was decided to open an office in Kottayam, the native place of Mr.Joseph Chacko. Instead of limiting to only US visa handling, a fullfledged travel agency was planned. Combining Travel + Visa, the new name TRAVISA was coined by Mr.Joseph Chacko himself. TRAVISA Tours & Travels was inaugurated by the Puthupally MLA and later Chief Minister Mr. Oommen Chandy, in the presence of family and friends in Kottayam.
